One message you send to the agent equals one message counted. That's the entire rule — no asterisks. The agent's reply, follow-up clarifications it asks you, scheduled-report views, chart re-renders, and dashboard browsing are all free. Limits apply at the workspace level (not per user), so the whole team draws from the same monthly bucket.

If your workspace exceeds its monthly message allowance, Matriq keeps working — we never throttle or shut off the agent mid-month. Extra messages are billed at a predictable per-message rate that depends on your tier: $0.12 on Launch, $0.05 on Grow, and $0.04 on Scale. Higher tiers get cheaper overage, so when overage starts adding up the upgrade pays for itself. You always see the current month's usage and projected overage in your workspace dashboard.

Change tiers anytime from workspace settings — upgrades take effect immediately and downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. Your data sources, Matriq Memory, scheduled reports, and saved work all carry over. Because Team is a flat workspace price (not per seat), adding more users to your workspace never changes your bill — only your message volume does.

Yes. Team is free for 14 days with no credit card required. You get the full feature set, multiple data sources, unlimited users, and a generous trial message bucket. At the end of the trial, you can either enter a card to continue on the tier that fits your usage, or fall back to the free Starter plan — nothing gets deleted.

Yes. Cancel from workspace settings with one click. You keep access through the end of the current billing period, and you can export your Matriq Memory, reports, and audit logs at any time. We do not charge cancellation fees and we do not lock you in to annual contracts on Team — monthly billing is standard.

Today, every customer runs on Matriq Cloud — managed by us, hosted on AWS, with the security controls described on the Security page. Custom deployment options for regulated industries (running Matriq inside your own AWS/GCP/Azure account) are on our roadmap and available today for design-partner engagements.
